Is it quiet at UPA?

We believe so. Many graduate students, nurses, and professionals live here because we are walking distance from University of Maryland and a few minutes from Mercy Hospital.

Is there a charge for trash fees?

Trash is included in your rent. You bring your trash and recycling to the receptacle area located by rear (left) of the property.

What are my utility responsibilities?

Tenants are responsible for setting up account with BGE for electricity. $35 monthly water fee for any occupant 18+.

How is laundry handled?

Every unit has your own washer and dryer.

How close are we to public transportation/the interstate ?

Residents have access to local transportation with the Lexington Street Light Rail Station just a couple blocks from the Property. The station serves as a city connector to MICA, Camden Yards, Federal Hill, and provides direct access to BWI airport. Access to the Baltimore Metro and MARC Commuter Rail offers access throughout the city and to employment centers including; Hunt Valley, Owings Mills, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. The Property is less than a five-minute walk from numerous CityLink Purple, Orange, Red, and Blue bus lines, providing 24-hour service throughout Baltimore.

What do I need to qualify for an apartment?

A 600 credit score with proof of wages that are 3.5x the monthly rent. You also need a clean record with no prior evictions, judgements or collections.

How much are deposits?

Typically $500 (depending on your credit). $200 of that becomes a non-refundable administration fee.

Do you accept pets?

Yes. Each unit is allowed up to 2 pets under 50 lbs. We charge a non-refundable deposit of $350 and $50 monthly fee per pet. 

How do I pay rent or file a maintenance request?

We use Appfolio property management software which has a tenant portal to manage your payments (ACH, cc, etc) and submit maintenance requests. All maintenance requests are required to be submitted through the appfolio portal and they are first come, first serve. If you have a maintenance emergency please call (202) 281-8649.
